Hi my name is Remaya Amelia and I am the founder of a Product Of My Environment, an organization dedicated to empowering young black people around Birmingham.


As a young black person growing up in this city, I felt there was a lack of ambition in many people around me, I believe that the reason for this is we don’t see people that look like us achieving. We are all products of our environments and if all we see is people doing the wrong thing, getting involved in gangs and crime we are more likely to do these things in the future.

A Product Of My Environment is changing the way we as young black people in Birmingham see ourselves in the future. On our website you will find youth clubs across the city, mental health advice, and most importantly other black people that have achieved amazing things.
